UNIVERSAL JUNCTION BOX FOR CONCRETE
Fast mounting with extended installation space
CUT, PUT, STRAIN RELIEF!
3-part Universal Junction Box with membrane
The classic in concrete production – now also with membrane! The Universal Junction Box can be used as a ceiling junction box and offers the electrican huge installation space. Thanks to the in-house membrane technology, a high-quality installation can be achieved in the shortest possible time. See for yourself.
To insert conduits and cables, all you need to do is make a cut with a cutter knife and the conduits can simply be inserted. The additional punching pliers can therefore surely be left at home. The membrane then completely encloses the conduit, making the system absolutely concrete-tight. The integrated conduit grip also ensures reliable strain relief.
The 3-part structure with cover, box and front part allows, among other things, the placement of the front part before the reinforcement is being installed. Thanks to the low overall height, the steel can then be easily moved and positioned. You can’t get more flexibility and efficiency!
The Universal Junction Box
in action!
Universal Junction Box
With an installation depth of 111 mm the Universal Junction Box offers a lot of space for all kinds of installation work. An Optional Divider even allows for two separate circuits within one box. The integrated holder for a self-tapping ceiling hook according to DIN EN 60670 facilitates the installation of ceiling lamps for the electrician on the construction site. If required, the Universal Junction Box can also be used as an electronics box.
With the help of Push-on Wings the Universal Junction Box can be attached directly to the steel reinforcement. The front parts are available in 60 mm and 70 mm , thereby increasing flexibility during installation. The Universal Junction Box is also available without a membrane.

Your advantages in cast-in-place concrete
Easy assembly
in just a few steps
1
Thanks to the 3-part structure, the front part can be nailed to the formwork first. The low overall height enables the subsequent insertion of reinforcement.
2
Open the membrane with a cutter knife.
3
Insert M20 – M40 installation conduits and close the cover.
4
Membrane completely encloses the conduits and guarantees absolute concrete tightness.
5
With an installation depth of 111 mm, the Universal Junction Box offers plenty of space.
1
Easy, precise alignment of the Universal Junction Box thanks to the integrated markings on the front part.
2
Nail the Universal Junction Box onto the formwork. The integrated nail fixation on the front part enables easy installation.
3
If the second reinforcement has already been installed, the front part can be positioned and nailed on with the Primo Nailer .
4
The low height of the front parts makes the Universal Junction Box ideal for installation situations with a lot of reinforcement.
5
Attach the box to the front part.
6
Open the membrane with a cutter knife and insert cables and (rigid) conduits without tools. The Universal Junction Box offers combination entries in sizes M20 – M40.
7
The membrane completely encloses the conduit or cable and thus guarantees absolute concrete tightness.
8
The integrated conduit grip ensures reliable strain relief.
9
An Optional Divider can be installed for two separate circuits in one box.
10
Close the Cover with one hand and pour the concrete into place.
11
With the help of Push-on Wings, the Universal Junction Box can be attached directly to the reinforcement. A support element or counter bearing is not necessary and the Push-on Wings provide a standard distance of 15 cm from the door formwork.
12
The Wings can be rotated 180 degrees for different concrete coverings. Wall thicknesses of 20 – 40 mm and 40 – 60 mm are possible.
13
The flexible Wings adapt to the respective concrete cover.
14
After concreting, the front part can simply be opened with a hammer blow.
15
Holder for self-tapping ceiling hooks according to DIN EN 60670
16
With the divider two separate circuits can be installed. Alternatively, the Universal Junction Box can also be used as a electronics box.

Further solutions for concrete installation
Why does the Universal Junction Box cost more than a standard concrete container?
The Universal Junction Box is extremely versatile. Thanks to its modern membrane technology, the box is absolutely concrete-tight, and cables and conduits can be inserted without tools. The integrated conduit grip ensures reliable strain relief – completely eliminating tedious rework and subsequent conduit cutting, significantly saving time.
The three-part design with cover, box, and front part allows, among other things, the front part to be positioned before the reinforcement is installed, which clearly sets the Primo Universal Junction Box apart from common two-part competitor products. The M40 inlet is also unique on the market. Additional flexibility is offered by the various front parts in 60 mm and 70 mm, as well as an Optional Divider for two separate circuits in one box. Another advantage of the three-part Universal Junction Box is that you can nail the base plate on first, then, after the first layer of iron, place the box on it and screw on the cover – thus, the cover cannot get lost.
Is the Universal Junction Box available in different sizes?
The Universal Junction Box is available in two versions. You can choose between a front part with a 60 mm diameter and a front part with a 70 mm diameter.
Can two separate circuits be installed in one box?
Yes, the Optional Divider is suitable for this purpose. It is easily inserted into the Universal Junction Box, allowing for a clean and safe separation of the two circuits.
Does the conduit stay in the box?
Yes, thanks to the conduit grip of the Universal Junction Box, everything is reliably strain-relieved and absolutely concrete-tight.
Do Wings hold on the M-Series?
Yes, the Wings hold on to all Primo concrete products: Membrane Boxes, Installation Housings, Universal Junction Boxes, Grommets, Sleeves and Wall and Ceiling Transitions.
Can the membrane technology withstand the pressure of concrete?
Yes, it’s been tested. We also have many satisfied customers who use our Universal Junction Box.
